    Default My first restoration.

    So here is my first attempt. 9 hours and some sore hands, and here it is.

    Inquiring minds want to know more. Don't leave us hanging what did you do to it. Scales look original. Is it a Henkels razor?

    It is Henckles Hammesfahr. Here is what I did:

    Unpinned the blade pivot. Worked the blade (all by hand) with 400 grit, then the full progression of micro mesh. Finished it off with Maas. I then made a pivot bushing from brass tube, and reassembles. The scales are original. I just cleaned them inside and out with Maas and q-tips.

    I still need to hone it, but I am happy so far.
