Thanked: 13245Ralf Aust Re-scale
Ralf Aust Rescaled in Sea & Sand acrylic @ .110" thickness Wedge is Black acrylic and is .045" at the end..
The acrylic was cut from a block so that the two sides are as close to Bookmatched as possible..
Pins are Brass, tied together with stacked Brass and SS lock washers, internal Brass bearing washers give the razor a smooth action..
Honed on Chosera 1-5-10 then finished on a Blue-Green Escher to a silky smooth edge..
Been doing quite a few re-scales on these Aust razors which tells me people must really like the shaves...
Thanks for looking

Very nice! They are getting popular and the new ones have the advantage of a better taper of the spine side to side and a greater angle of the spine to the blade.. My early Aust was blocky and the pivot pin was higher which made wider scales necessary to protect the heel. It still shaves a treat though.

Thanked: 1184Another lucky customer. I love the matched look and those colors are perfect. Of course the craftsmanship is the icing on the cake.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

My Friend,
I'd need to rent or purchase a snow plow truck to get your place to shake your hand and tell you how nice this razor looks!!
