Whale bone restore.
Ok so a while back i got some whale bone from my dad who said he wanted to take up SR shaving. Soi got to looking at this stuff and thought i would make a great set of scales and matching brush! I decided that i would make my dad a nice razor for xmas as a gift and surprise him with it and some other goodies. After talking to Pixelfixed i sent it to him to have the brush and cut a blank for me and the brush came back most beautiful. I started working on the scales and attached them to some thin black G10 for the liner to give them some extra strength. Picked out a nice blade to put in them and started shaping them and coated them in several layers of CA will there in my vacuum chamber so it would fill all of the pours of the bone. I looked for some bigger washers that i liked but didn't find any so i made some with a blowtorch and some silver i had using a mold i made and some time i think they came out very nice. After all was said and done after about 2 weeks i was done and the razor was ready then at the last min i managed to chip my freshly honed blade and had to start over but after a long while of honing the chip out it is done and ready. It took a while to get it all to this point so i hope you like it and tell me what you think, and thanks again to Pixelfixed for the great brush. I hope this turns out to be a nice gift that will be enjoyed.

+ 1 on the washer / wedge thing, it really opens it up, nice touch!
He can't go wrong with Swedish steel, unless he's Russian, our steel have cut many Russians over the years.
Also like the shape of the scales, looks organic in some way, goes well with the whale bone.
I think you will have a very grateful father!Hur Svenska stålet biter kom låt oss pröfva på.

Nothing wrong with that work Bubba!!!
Not that I'd plan on hunting you down but can you add your location?? Others in the area may be interested in getting with you!!
There's nothing like hands on experience!!
I think that posting pictures of your vacuum set up is a wonderful idea!! I for one would like to see it!!
