Very nice. What is the wedge made from on the Elliot? I think it goes really well with the scales.

Thanked: 61Actually I just found out I was using canvas micarta.... It's much harder to cut and sand but you can see less scratches at lower grit... Which is deceiving when it dries it looks chalky... So I went back up the sandpaper ladder and took forever to polish.... U also have to wear a respirator if your belt sanding it.... Despite all that... I LOVE how it looks and plan to do 4 more (as I bought a 6"x12" sheet)

I was just thinking that this is kind of strange pattern for a paper micarta,.. I have made some, but have used it so far just for wedges, I am not sure how would it be as a material for scales due to the lints, I guess you don't achieve glossy finish with paper micarta, but rather matte?

I like a lot the first one, and especially the look of the wedge, but I dislike the second one.
I guess it's too modern for me ^^
Great restorations anyway, the horn is pretty thin on the first scales
