Thanked: 156Didn't get all the pitting of the brand...it would have come out and lost the mark...but the rest cleaned up quite nicely imo...thinking about the scale material and design...i'm going with 3/8 ss pivots on this one...
I was thinking of keeping the original scales but they're pritty beat up, the mark is almost gone and have some fine cracks...
Any sygestionson scale color/material and design are welcomed.
TY for watching.

Great job. Looks like a brand new razor. As for the scales I always have a hard time deciding what to use. The razor usually lets me know what it wants and sometimes a razor will sit on the sideline for awhile till I get something that looks right, but with that beauty I would have to say something like horn, bone or ivory. I don't think plastics would do it justice. Just my opinion though.

To me some blades just beg for streaked horn, and this is one of them. Streaked horn with a interesting wedge would be my suggestion.

Stick with the white theme. Get a nice set of bone scales on there. BTW, good job on that blade.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Upon further reflection... I hadn't thought about bone - that could work nicely.

Thanked: 4828Now that we are on the subject of bone scales. Will you finish them with CA or something similar to seal them and give them a little extra sheen. Or perhaps soak them in black tea or something similar to antique them?
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 156right now i am having problems with the staightness of the scales...amy idea how i can get them to straighten up...i've boiled them then clamped them as tigt as i could...i'll see how that works, if not, i'm in a bit of trouble.
And yes...I will need to seal them with CA or somthing...maybe on that tea job
