Thanked: 203Bengall G10 Re-Scale
Hi All,
just finished up this Bengall last night. Had original scales broken at pivot - bakelite maybe?
Anyway, gave the 4/8" blade a good clean up. Made new scales from Black and Green G10. Hand cut with a coping saw, profiled with a file and then contoured with emerycloth {shoeshine action} and various wet/dry papers.
This is the fourth wedge. Tried aluminium, recon turquoise and Safety Orange G10, but none of them looked right. This one is black buffalo horn. Very slight taper as the G10 came from 1/8" stock and even thinned with a contour it does not like to flex a lot. Brass pins and washers inside and out.
Regards,
Adam

Nice job Adam! That G10 buffs up well and the sedge looks like a good match.
