Default George Wostenholm & Sons in Ambonya burl

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. I am just feeling too tired to get everything out (I cleaned the garage today after finishing this. That was one h€ll of a job.) Anyways this is a George Wostenholm & Sons in Ambonya burl with a mammoth ivory wedge. It is finished off in epoxy resin. It separated from the wood under the pivot washer when pinning but I fixed that(I didn't want to show pictures of that). There is still some pitting that I had left because the blade was so thin. This will be my father's Christmas present. I am also making an oak coffin box stained dark kona. malachite dots on the lid and lined in blue or green velvet.

Very nice! A Wosty in my favorite burl - your dad's gonna be a happy guy! Post some pics of the box when it's done.

That'll make a great Christmas gift. Hopefully, your father gets bit by the straight shaving bug.

Well it will be the first time he has ever had one. Strangely enough both of his grandfathers were barbers. So yeah I do hope he gets the bug. He is definitely better at everything more than I am.
