Default Restore of old Sheffield Razor marked with "John ....cahn Sheffield"

I restored this old Sheffield razor. I had to make new scales, they broke, when I tried to polish them.

The new ones are made of Walnut.

The stamp on the blade says John ...cahn Sheffield. Can anybody share and light of this razor?

I still have to test shave it. I'm doing that tomorrow :-) Merry Christmas!

Very nice shape indeed and well done on the blade! I do prefer thinner scales and a wedge, though

Yes I glued the spacer in. It was difficult it find glue that could handle the job, but at least I succeeded with some 3M superglue...
