Thanked: 612 restores today: W. greaves restore and The razor that started it all (henckels)
So first up was a greaves and sons that had a line of cel rot going right through the middle of it... ruined the etching and name... saved the eagle... everything else was gone...
Blond horn, Brass lined bone wedge with brass hardware
before after a light polishing to see the rust damage

Next is the razor that started it all... it was a sight unseen from larry at whipped dog i bought almost two years ago... This razor has been my hallmark for all my honing examples and a great start to straights... The plan was to rescale and PIF it back to larry so he or someone else could benefit from it... well.... I just cant let it go... It was a start of an era and what led me to these forums and this "lifestyle"
anyways...
Henckels 41 in Translucent brown and black horn with NiAg hardware and aluminum wedge... Was surprised how nicely the aluminum shined right up

Wedge is so shiney it always looked white or reflected the blue shirt i was wearing...

Thanked: 60The both turned out great! Nice razor you got there on the sight unseen deal. I also got my start with Larry's sight unseen deal. Figure I'll probably hold on to the first one as well.

nice job on both. the aluminum looks great.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
