Default Wanted to try a large blade--So i got this

I wanted to shave with a large blade as my largest is my Dovo Bismarck which is a 6/8.

Got this naked blade from a member online and fixed blue Acrylic Perspex scales for it.

It is a 15/16 Reno solingen blade and is close to 8/8 as that is what i wanted to try.

    And man this is coolll.

Really enjoyed having this weight in my hands and wow did it give me a wonderful shave for Christmas.

    One pass and almost bbs.

The only thing is that i have a condition which doesn't allow my neck to move up and down as it used to so moving this beast under my neck was something a little delicate.

But this is one of my go to blades for now.

No, this was not my first, I have done a few now.

My first was a little pathetic but with practice I have gotten better at it.

Hey that blade looks familiar from another place... Haha nice blade... Now I gotta rescale my 6/8 and give it a try.. You should try a 8/8 wedge... It's like shaving with a soup spoon

Very nice! The big blades are fantastic, adds an entirely new perspective and experience to the shave.

    Enjoy and great blade!!

Nice razor. I like the heavy blade since you just let the weight of the blade do the work, no adding pressure.

Very nice restoration, great scales. A Solingen razor definately for a french market by the markings on the blade, "garantie pour chaque piece",
"le renomme rasoir", somewhat fitting for somebody from MTL?
