Hey all,

I've been working on a few razors in recent weeks - these four below, plus another which demands its own thread!

The Bengall (T.R. Cadman) is a 7/8 beauty - really didn't take too much work. Just removed the scales, black and white rouges to clean the blade up, then re-pinned. It honed really really well, and is now a favorite without a doubt.

Wostenholm True Pipe Razor - blade was pretty cruddy, but no rust, so just 400 grit greaseless followed by black and white rouges. Scales weren't in great condition - cracking at various points, but thankfully were easily salvageable with epoxy, followed by enamel spray and lacquer. Honed really well, and it such a nice little shaver - really like this one.

Two Wade & Butchers - the bulls eye collar square point came out well with just 300 & 400 grit greaseless, plus black and white rouge. Isn't honing so well sadly, which is a shame - my first defeat I would say. Bit of a mystery since to the eye it looks like it would be a really easy honer!

The other W&B had blonde horn scales, but they were a write off - so its in very plain cheap black plastic scales until I can find something more authentic. It cleaned up with just the rouges - and took a great edge - really really great shaver. Kind of makes up for the other W&B thankfully!

I do love a bit of razor restoration!

Cheers,

Al.
