One of my first sets of scale were made out of some very high contrast fire kill cedar. I had some issues with being able to get the pins tight because they sank into the wood quite easily. I thought to myself the next time I use soft wood I an going to use a wide washer perhaps a triple stack would touch them off nicely. I love dramatic grain. You have an spectacular start.
Looked around on microfasteners, where can I get domed washers and pins etc...couldnt find on their website
There is a guy in Germany who sells on ebay some collars which are like little rivet bodies. I found they work well with wood as they go thru the entire scale. I will find him and PM you a link.
