    Default Made my first razor

Blade: Hand forged o1, 8/8, half ish hollow. Acid etched. Already had a shave with it and it shaves well!

Handle: Black canvas micarta, one piece construction, torx head pivot barrel, with stainless washers.

I am open to all suggestions and input on what you like or don't like. Also my makers mark is crooked (first time using it on the spine)

    Thanks

    John

Nice razor. Square points and heel are not my style, mostly due to lack of skill. I like the one piece scales but the large washer on the pivot comes across as a home repair. I'd think a washer the same size as the screw head and then recessed Hart Steel style would look nicer.

Its my first completely finished razor. I would be embarrassed to show how many failed attempts it took to get here.

I will have to disagree on the smaller washers. I think they fit the look of the razor. Very nice by the way.

I think I need some work on the washers. I got them at lowes and they looked perfect in the bag but big once they were installed. The good thing about the torx barrel pivot is that I can just unscrew it and take them off or replace them. Thanks for the input, keep it coming.

There are such a variety of washer types to use .... you should experiment. A lot of times I
use decorative 5mm half beads that you can find on ebay. The razor is actually really nice, Excellent first razor!

If you could find corrosion resistant fasteners in black, that might be a nice touch too.
