13/16 Wedge: Warranted...
The stamp on the tang simply says: WARRANTED, so I have No idea of the manufacturer of this blade, or whether it is a Sheffield or American made razor, although it does have a very typical Sheffield blade profile. It is a 13/16 wedge finished with a Crocus satin finish.
I consider this a 'Shorty' at least as far as my collection goes, as the blade face is only 2 3/4 inches and the entire blade from toe to tail is less than 5 1/4 inches long. But ...it is a really nice shaver with a typical 'smooth wedge' feel to the blade. It really mows the whiskers down!
The scales are pinned with nickel/silver pins and and SS washers. Thanks to 10 Pups for finally getting me off my Duff to start pinning up the razors that I have finished restoring...and thanks to him also for the gift of a heavy steel 'pinning block' to get this process started. You Pups!!!
Hope you like it...

That is a very old generic Sheffield blade, shortened in some Noonan 'devil' scales. Looks SWEET! Noonan would roll over in his grave!
The pins look GREAT, BTW!Last edited by sharptonn; 02-24-2014 at 04:53 AM.

I rest my case.

Good Call Tom! I knew you were an aficionado of American blades...was wondering if someone would pick up on the "Noonan Effect".
The original scales were standard horn scales typical of the period but they were trashed so I decided that these 'Little Devil' scales would look good.
Thanks!Lupus Cohors - Appellant Mors !

Thanked: 1184This is a very nice razor and I love the little devil. Personally I think these smaller wedges are overlooked gems. They always give you a nice shave.
Glad to help you become a fully functioning restorer. :<0)Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I've seen a few razors marked with just "Warranted" on the tang on tradera here in Sweden(ebay type site) so unless it's made by a different maker who used the Warranted stamp I think it's Sheffield made.
I'm also the owner of a Warranted razor but I think mine might be a little older, I decided to use it this weekend for the first time in a long while and it still shaves well.
Is there a Warranted razor club by the way? maybe we should start one.
Anyway here it is:
