    That's very nice work with the scales. I've worked with some materials such as wood, old plastic, horn, and ivory, but I know little about micarta. Is it easy to work with?

    Thank you. I've worked with horn, and it is very similar. I start with the belt sander, then hand sand from 250 grit to 1200 grit. Then move to the buffer. White, then green compound.
