Thanked: 4206Toledo steel, Ohio that is.
This Lecran from Toledo was one of my first eBay bundle purchases and was kept in the drawer till I got to it.
Ive spent a few days hand sanding her, starting at 180 grit and slowly have removed almost all the pitting that she was riddled with.
still need to buff her and hone her up but I like how she's looking so far.
love the funky scales the most.

Thanked: 4206Shave was good! Blade has good stiffness, more like a wedge than a hollow ground IMO.
Think I'm going to reshape the heel some as its right at the point where the heel will start to interfere somewhat with future honing. Pin needs some tightening as well. But considering it started as sharp as a bread knife, pretty pleased.
No real info on Lecran when I googled them, but I like this blade. Nice piece of American tonsorial toolage. Thanks Toledo!
Cheers.
