Turned out good gonzo!
this turned out way better than my first full restore, nice work!
Try making your own wedge next time!
As for the meetup, still up in the air on whether I'll make it.
lead wedges are so easy to make. You can get lead in a roll at the fishing store, take a torch and drip a blob on to the tail of the vice. When it has cooled hit it with a large hammer to flatten it into a large wedge shape and just guess at the size. rough sale it and put it in the scales with double sided tape, take it out and adjust the size as needed, finish off the rough shaping and tape it in and drill it half way from each side. No risk of wiping your finger prints off in the sander.
