Thanked: 66/8 Wade & Butcher in Bone Handles
Well Gentlemen,
My second restoration is under my belt. I have to say, the stress of unpinning and repinning these bone scales coupled with the thoughts that they were older than the summation my grandfather and father's age made the end result all the more worth it.
Before the clean up:
The after clean up photo:
Finally, the end result as the marriage between the old scales and the old W&B Medium Sized Hollow Ground blade is reconfirmed.
Honed her up and shaved - my first W&B shave - what a beautiful thing! I now understand the love of these blades by so many here.
Thank you again to all of you for your help and counsel as I become further engrossed in this new hobby (obsession?)!
From the Southland!
Matt
