Here is a razor I've just finished. The blade is 7/8ths wide and 2" long. Please feel free to comment....

That looks great! I could give it a test drive for you if you want.

Beautiful lines, I really love the textured rough look as well, amazing piece!

I'm really curious to see if you find the handle comfortable to use. Most of the ones I've seen, and the few I've tried to make have a narrower handle, and it is swept up a bit. I really like the looks of yours, and I hope it shaves comfortably. Also really like your stamp.

    Thanks guys!

The handle does sweep up a little but it's hard to make out from these pictures. This design came about after conversations with people who own kamisoris and find them to be 'head heavy'. The thicker tang/handle means this razor balances perfectly at the thumb notch so you get good control. I find it nice to use and I'm doing a pass around on a UK forum to see what others think.

Thanks for responding. I'll be interested in any followup about the response to the pass around. May have to try making one to see for myself.

    It looks great!
I like the contrast between blade face and spine, handle. Looks very well put together and +1 on your stamp.

Really nice design....the photography is perfect for the piece......I'm not a big fan of the Kamisori but this has pulled me over a little in that direction. I can't see it very well but your stamp looks pretty awesome also......industrial art....

Really nice. I like the finish on the steel. How did you do it?

    Well done.
