    Default Vintage Gillettes

Finally got a couple finished up this weekend. Been sitting around for a while in various stages of restore (cleaning). The gold still shows some wear but the nickel is almost perfect! Good antique store finds.

Pretty pleased with the nickel tech. I didn't take before pics because I soaked them as soon as I got them home a while back. The tech was very dull an corroded. These both were fully restored by hand. No power tools. Partly why it took so long. Either way both came out nice I think. Looking forward to giving them a test run soon.

The Tech's are excellent shavers, one of my favorites. The OC's are nice too, if they have the thick cap. I found out the hard way, that thin caps (for me at least) are very aggressive. Nice scores and great cleanup.

I really like the heft of the fat handle tech. They both look great!

Yeah I am a bit nervous about how aggressive the OC will be. I have owned several DEs but this is the first OC. I have been using a merkur HD for the past year or so an its a mild shaver. Going to use the tech first because I know how they shave. I bought the tech to be a hand down to my son when hes ready an if hes even interested. The OC was part of the deal. May end up on the bay or here if I don't like it.
