The mother of pearl looks amazing, I'll definitely have to bear that in mind for my next rescale.

Thanks! All of these scales are vintage. If you follow the links back to the first thread on them, you can see.
You can search luthier supplies for some mop panels, as well as knifemaker supplies. Finding slabs large enough to make one-piece scale halves might prove difficult. These are riveted to silver liners and are of two panels. Some have 3 or more panels."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 498Once again another fine installment in the 2x14 sets Thomas. This is fun to see the building of the crescendo when you have two box loads of gorgeous keepers.
Keep it going. Well done!!!

Thanked: 1184Another great thread. Looks like your getting close. I would be wanting to sprint to the end. Next thread I will have to take off my shoes to do the math :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Those look fantastic! I am curious about the cases you are storing them in. What are they an where did you get them? I am using a cigar box from my beloved tabaks right now. But would like something more along the lines of what you have.
