Schwan Co. "Aristocrat" Restore
This was the razor I used for the unpinning thread I just posted.
After the pins were drilled out I cleaned up the blade. It only had relatively minor staining and scratches. I did a brushed satin finish on the blade itself and polished the stabilizers, spine and shaft. Once that was done I re blued the shaft but I didn't do the band that the word Aristocrat is written it. Not sure if this is how it was. But I think it looks pretty neat this way. Each blade always seems to have a flaw and the one on this one is the little band wrapped around the shaft where it's missing two little circles. I didn't sand them away!
Sanded up the scales and polished them. Just love those bolsters.Last edited by mycarver; 05-13-2014 at 07:54 PM.

As always, well done. Love your work.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I really like how you didn't blue the Aristocrat - it really "pops" and defines the blue.
Sweet!!!David
