Smith & Hawksley wedge
I've had this blade for a while now received it as a bare blade with 2 others
I cleaned up a bit ago & it has been waiting for a new suit in the draw
so I had a piece of bone 120mm*25mm*2mm too short for a standard scale shape & this was the only blade I had small enough to fit it, so I thought what the heck see what it comes out like?
I am not completely sold by it yet & might make some full size scales for it to match a 6/8 S&H wedge I also have.
before as received.
after
Blade - Smith & Hawksley 5/8" wedge
Scales - Bone
Wedge - Black Buffalo horn
Pins & thrust washers - Brass
Pivot hole inserts - brass tubes
test honed when I originally got it
but not final honed yet
so now I have 3 blades to hone, hopefully on the weekend I will the chance to do them.Saved,
to shave another day.

A very creative, and elegant, solution.
Well done and great to see an old blade get a new life - with style.Support Movember!
