Default H. Boker No 1096 Leather Scales

Found a short blade at antique store with leather scales. It's a Boker 1096 Good as Gold razor. Cleaned the scales with water, neatsfoot oil and then shoe polish. Will spend a little more time polishing it up but it is good to go as a daily shaver now. I have not seen any other leather scales. Are they less common? Any thoughts on the age? It says Germany on the back. Plain tree stamp and H. Boker Co

I have a Boker Good As Gold in original scales and is an excellent shaver. Bokers are well known for their 'Buttery Smooth' shaves. Here is a link that may help identify the year......

    Enjoy the shave!

This is a short blade and the Good as Gold is off center so I'm wondering if the blade was cut short due to a chip or if they made a short version of it? The scales are a perfect fit for its size and the tip looks factory so if it was done, it was done well.
