Thanked: 457/8 Smirking Gentleman
I wanted to do something that felt vintage, but that wasn't just a copy of a WB. So, I drew some inspiration from the old Greaves and some other Sheffield razors and came up with this:
It's O1, slightly harder than 61 HRC in ebony scales with a mokume spacer, copper pin, and recessed button-head torx pivot. I tended away from the big crazy smiling edge and went with more of a smirk. I also moved away from the big, round, horn scales to a bit more dressy oiled and waxed ebony. The metal spacer let me keep the scales nice and thin and still maintain balance.
I made the mokume from copper, brass, and nickel silver.
Fits nicely in the hand. It has a pleasant weight and a nice downward pull
Thanks for looking y'all,
TonyLet me know if you need any help with shaving, honing, etc.

That is a fine looking razor there. You seem to have a knock for these! Interesting choice on the Mokume. Can you see much figuring from exposed portions?
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I like the lines on this razor, both the blade and the scales. That is a mighty fine smirk.
