Default custom buckeye burl with hammered copper liner

I recently cleaned up a razor for a guy and designed and made some custom scales for him.
They are buckeye burl and hammered copper. I used decorative washers and brass pins.
    Hope you all like it!

oooo, I do like indeed, I just picked up some buckeye burl myself and was deciding on whether to use if for knife or razor scales... I think you just answered my question. Lovely setup!

Be careful when you are working with the thin stock, I usually soak the thin stock In polyeurothane for about 15 minutes and let hand dry for a couple days before starting cutting and shaping.

Thanks for the heads up. Was yours stabilized? Wondering if that would make a difference or not.

It wasn't but that's why I soak in poly is to stabilize it.
If yours is stabilized already you are good to go.

Those are some awesome looking scales. Buckeye burl looks fantastic but you always will need to line them for scales. Using hammered copper was a great idea. Looks super along with the decorative collars!
