Thread: New Ducklings In The Nest

These just landed for a little R&R. Blades decent enough. Scales...well I'll see what I can do.
I have a Satinedge and a Satinwedge here.

On the Satinedge with the embossed scales they were a bit shallow. On the reverse one of the poor ducks was missing it's head and the "D" in Duck was half gone.
I got them back in place so I could add gold to the script .
The scales other than that cleaned up just fine. Got pretty clear.

The wedge , well the blade was OK on most accounts. The scales? Well here again it depends on what you think is bad and what you can do about it.
They're Ducks and I had to do what I could to save the day if possible. I wanted both to look at least close to looking factory fresh.

Here too the blade cleaned up fine. On both blades I went with the factory texture on the blade, polished the spine and stabilizer. For the remainder of the shaft and tail I went with the frosted look as I see on originals.
I made very small collars for the Nickle Silver pins to try and keep them looking stock.
