    That is a really beautiful set of scales. I've been wanting to get a supply of mammoth ivory to work with for a while.

    There is actually. it can be quite a pain to maintain an edge with a bevel that size, so, once I got it shaving with 1 layer tape, I put a 2 layer tape microbevel with a few passes on the 8k->coti->YG Escher.
