John Shaw Sheffield in Mammoth Ivory
Started in raw form. it was not stabilized. I ran into several cracks that made some pieces impossible to use. That said, I struggled through and ended up with two strong blanks. The shop stunk like a thousand dentists drilling teeth for days.

Very nice. The patina on the steel goes well with the color of the mammoth ivory.

That is a really beautiful set of scales. I've been wanting to get a supply of mammoth ivory to work with for a while.

Beautiful, Brad. I love it. Why such small pins?
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Honestly, I don't know, I just felt like it.
LOL. I actually had a customer in the store, and I asked her what would look better (holding up two options).....she chose brass versus silver (yes, I had a woman shopping in my store...lol). Sometimes I just make decisions like that on a whim, once it is done, it is done. I think the small washers get out of the way of the ivory, which is the star here.
