    It is so close to the toe that little bit won't even be noticeable. At most you are looking at 3/8" ? I bet you can take that out in half that if you are going with Spanish or notched

    oh I most definitely will. its a shame that I have to modify the blade but if I'm gonna do it its gonna be bad ass.

    Im thinking Spanish or notch but my plan was to refurbish and sell to get a couple more razors. but.... now I feel modifying the blade even 3/8 is going to devalue the razor to the point of not making my initial investment back

    I think that you can recover some out of it or nothing if you don't sell or don't modify. Sometimes it's not about getting a little ahead it's about limiting our losses.

    Alright, back on track, then perhaps a small scale modification, some buffing and you are ready for honing. A short setback and you might be surprised what it might fetch. Finger crossed.
