Default dovo best quality in paua select

here a few pics of a dovo best quality I rescaled it paua select. I didn't get before pics but it was very generic, blade was in decent shape so only needed a light clean and polish and hone/strop to shave ready. I gave it a similar scale design to one of my favorite scale shapes and just tightened up the space between the wedge and blade tip. im very happy with the result, good blade, good shave and more attractive (to me)

the paua comes as a sheet, I usually get a 9"x5" sheet and it will do 3-4 sets of scales out of that if I nest them well. this product is real shell laminated between a solid color acrylic backing and a clear acrylic top coat. it takes a wonderful polish which in my opinion is the only way to finish this material. anything less than a high polish looks nasty on this stuff
