Default First Damascus Razor 8/8 3 pin french tip random pattern with deer antler scales

    lots of pictures...

I just finished my first Hand made Damascus razor.

    Equipment was basic,
A cheap anvil from Harbor freight (which I broke in the process)

    An 8 inch grinder,

a propane and a map gas torch, and a hollowed out fire brick forge.

    Steel is 15N20, amd 1095

    Grind is 1/4 hollow

I made the scales out of deer antler, and the pins are nickel-silver

I boiled the antler to straighten them, with good effect.

Wow... Very cool. Did that take a lot of heat cycles to forge weld?

More than I care to count
I was worried I would burn off the carbon
Went through 4 small map has bottles

Until I have better equipment, I'm going to buy Damascus already made, and just do the shaping
