Big OCD chopper for a Big Guy
A man from the Garden State who described himself as a large strong man with beefy fingers (picture Sampson, Hercules, and Atlas all rolled into one) asked me to make him a razor....a large old school chopper with black scales...not modern styled.
This turned out to be one of my personal favorites....handles well, shaves well, and has that classic look. Part of me hopes he doesn't like it and sends it back....just kidding....not really.
It is 9 or 10/8's that rolls from a humpback tang to a swayback spine. Barbers notch and square point toe. Coarse jimps on top. Finer jimps on tail and bottom of tang. The blade is ground to retain some weight but has a fine edge. Scales are black micarta with a polished aluminum wedge. Hardware is ss screws and barrel nut.
as always, thanks for looking

His last name wouldn't happen to be Bunyan would it? Nice hatchet, er, I mean razor.

If you throw small objects like clippers, buttons, tooth brushes near it do they start to orbit around this razor?
