Default wade & butcher beveled spine

heres another one I did recently, making the scales from this new fangled paua alvs stuff I seem to like so much
this one a 7/8 wade & butcher near wedge with a swaged spine, beautiful smile to the blade as well. this one was an exceptional shaver. honed up with one layer of tape. The paua comes in a few different tint options, this is the blue which is my favorite.
the blade had a wicked black coating on it, not sure what was going on there. seemed like someone had coated it with something as a protectant.

thank you, yes I do have a penchant for horn myself but I keep coming back to the paua as well. I find that certain blades look stunning in it, some not so much. same with horn. for some razors I cant do anything other than horn of some sort, but some just end up looking bland in horn.

It is rather sexy I must say, love that blue paua! Definitely not your grand daddy's Wade and Butcher!

Beautiful restore on the blade...love the shape of the scales, but the color would just clash with the current look I'm going for....
