Brookes & Crookes
Picked this up the other day:
Made some NEW Horn scales for it and did some clean up:
Pitted pretty bad so took what I could off and kept as much etching as I could:
Fit pretty good:
Honed it up with THREE pieces of tape on Chosera 1k...
Two pieces from here on out... Norton 4k & 8k finished with Naniwa 12k.

Brookes & Crookes still sounds like a C&W band to me.

Boy did this thing sharpen up NICE!
BUTTERY SMOOTH shave also...
I might have to keep an eye out for more of these.
On second thought...
NEVER MIND... Nobody should get these...
They are Horrible shavers and not worth the time to restore them.
(HA! MORE FOR ME!)

. Total bricks. Still, they shave smoooth!

Thanks... I try and do as much as the razor tells me. Sometimes a bit of age to these looks better than a full mirror polish. Just my opinion though...

Nothing wrong with setting a difficult bevel with 3 strips of tape. You do what you have to to get things started. Originally Posted by Chevhead
