One of my barbers gave me a C-Mon Super XX Peter J Michels Thursday morning. He said fix it up and its yours. A friend of his gave it to him and he in turn gave it to me.

I took the razor apart at the pivot because it looked like the beginnings of cell rot. I'm glad I did. It was cell rot.

Buffed the blade and it came up well except for where the rust was on the front of the blade. The rest looks like new. There is no hone wear - it looks like the guy put a new razor in a drawer and forgot about it.

I sanded the inside of the scales with an emery board. Worked great. Then painted the inside scales with clear fingernail polish. That will take care of cell rot in my lifetime hopefully. The other two pins are nickel/silver. Just so happens I have nickei/silver rod for the pivot end so the pins should basically match.
