Thanked: 8Made my first brush! Hand carved.
Comments? Suggestions on doing this easier without a lathe? This took a few hours of carving and sanding.
Also pictured, my second set of scales...Still contemplating trying a CA finish on both.
Whatcha think?Last edited by seanreum1; 10-03-2014 at 11:07 PM.

Looks cool! Wait till the wood guys come on. Lots of oil finishes, etc would look great and be tons easier than doing CA, esp since you have them all put together.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 8Yea I was too excited to epoxy the knot in it to figure out the CA so I figured I could just Tung oil the heck out of it. The scales are just put together with screws so i can take that apart and do something fancy if need be

Thanked: 8I guess I don't know what you mean, fast is good, cheap is good to as long as it turned out well. Unfortunately I am impatient and jump into things full bore as I have only been straight razor shaving for 3 months and already have 8 blades, two sets of custom scales and now a second handmade brush
......This is awesome!Last edited by seanreum1; 10-03-2014 at 09:51 PM.
