Default Green water over the bow

I saw a similar razor done by gssixgun for a retired Navy chief that lives a couple towns over from me last year. Being from Maine and retired Navy myself I decided I had to have one and so the search began. Just finished it. Evergreen acrylic scales and a Black acrylic wedge. Some light frosting on the blade which I left to keep the imprint of the ship. I'll hone it tonight for tomorrow mornings shave.

Made that old razor look great!

That "GREEN WATER OVER THE BOW" brought back some memories of plowing through a typhoon in the South China Sea in '72. I was part of the air wing aboard the USS AMERICA, CVA-66. I think we were headed back up to Yankee Station from Singapore.

We were taking green water over the bow, and our poor escort was taking green water over the bridge! Those poor bastards should have been getting submarine pay. We were quartering into the storm and our boat was wallowing like a pig. The "can" left us, and ran with it and met us on the other side.

It was a wild ride that trip.

Being retired USAF, I can honestly say I own nothing Navy. That being said ., this is one gorgeous blade. I would be proud to own one.
