    Ok guys, I think I can see what you mean. (hammer and screwdriver guy here!) So the plane rides the shims on the sides and the blade goes down between them and trims the horn? Or are you planing down to the shims?

    Sharpton, No Sir the solid bullseye collars are a aftermarket item. I traced the original split scales which had plain pins.
