Thanked: 11A few more customs
Hello guys,
Here’s a few more of my custom straights for you to have a look over, after a lot of debate about my tempering time being too short in my last thread (and being told it was sill to make such a hard razor) I thought I would extend my temper times to what was being talked about i.e. one hour. It has made final grinding and first honing quicker so thanks for your advice on that guys.
The first razor is a 7/8” quarter hollow ground with natural horn scales brass dome collars and a pewter wedge.
The second is a 11/16” mini straight hollow ground with black horn scales stainless steel dome collars and a natural horn wedge.
And the third is another 7/8” quarter hollow ground with black horn scales brass cats eye collars and a pewter wedge, I’m particularly happy with this one as I wanted to make a more grown up razor as some of my designs are a little bit unusual (and big) the blade by its self weighs in at 36g and the hole thing comes in at 55g so its defiantly the lightest razor I’ve made so far.
Anyway thanks for looking, any advice or comments always welcome.

Thanked: 68Beautiful work, I really like all of them.
And now a fun experiment would be see how long the edge holds up/how nice they shave and all the other qualities of a razor compare with old/new temper times.
