    Default Geneva Damascus 6/8 pre-1928

Sometimes you just get lucky. Even came with the original coffin. Not sure if this qualifies as a restoration. I just taped up the gold and used a little Maas.

Sweet find in great shape from a good company. What more can you ask for? If all it takes to restore it is some Maas then that is all it takes to restore it. Is the blade etched to simulate a Damascus blade or is it the real deal?

The blade is etched but only on the show side. It appears to have no hone wear other than from the factory.

How come "-pre-1928" ? Not doubting your word, just want to know it is from the logo on the tang, or what ? In 1928 $5.00 was a pretty penny to be paying for a straight razor. Some people made that for a day's pay. Nice piece BTW. Bet it will be a great shaver.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

In 1928 they changed their name, and went by Geneva Cutlery Inc. until 1935 when they were bought out (ifin my memory serves me correctly).

    Beautiful find by the way!

    State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").

Perhaps to see this thread starting at post 148 would be helpful! http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...llow-conn.html
