6/8 Revisor in Acrylic Scales Part Two
Awhile back I asked my good friend splashone if he would make me a set of scales out of the same kind of acrylic as my custom brush handle that walleyeman had used.
Well he wanted to do something that would be very different and I think he has accomplished just that. The scales felt wonderful in hand and it balanced perfectly at the pivot.
Please note that I said 'felt' not feels. After about a month of daily shaving and I was almost done, I got a little lather on my hand that was holding the razor and instead of stopping and removing it I thought that I'd just finish the last couple of strokes when IT happened.
The razor slipped from my hand, I drew my hands back but I was too slow and the blade cut my knuckle on the left little finger then glanced off of the counter and fell onto the rug.
At first I thought that I had dodged disaster but I found a small crack at the pivot.
The razor was sent back to see if it could be reinforced but splashone felt that the only permanent solution was to make another scale.
Here's some build pics and the final product; it's in the mail and I should have it in about 3 days.
Thanks for looking

Tc, I'm fine, what's another scar after all of these years
I thank you for your concern, splashone also was very concerned.
In looking back I should have posted differently so that Part 2 was listed in the proper order. I'll see if the two can be combined. It's probably too late but you never know.
Others won't get this but it's 11 days and counting. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Another day, another scar. Who is to complain.
Glad you were not really injured.
I love my walleyeman brush which looks to be the same acrylic. Ray does great work.
