8/8 pattern welded Predator
I already had my monster razors. Those are big choppers fit for a beheading. The Alien razors were supposed to be outworld-ish razors. Neither aggressive or friendly. As I was working on the Alien2 some time ago, I figured that I needed a predator as well. (you know, Alien vs Predator ). So I set out to make a razor that looked like it was an aggressive, lean and mean 'rip your head off' predator.
Given the desired look, I figured this would be the ideal candidate to finally do something with pattern welded steel. I got the steel from Dictum. It was a knife sized piece so I hammered it until it had the correct thickness. I made a number of slightly different design sketches, to see what would work best. I'm making them all in tool steel to see what looks good in real life, and I selected the most interesting looking one to be made in PW steel as well.
Because of the black blade, I decided to go with orange and black toxic scales to bring some color into it. I suppose green and black would have worked as well. This was what I had most of so I picked that.

Looks way cool Bruno, the only thing is ......... on my monitor anyway, it is hard to see the beauty of the pattern with the black anvil in the background ........ just sayin' ..... great looking razor though ....

On my laptop it looks passable. However, looking closely I agree that a lighter background would be a lot better for contrast.
This is the first PW razor I did in years so I hadn't thought about it. thanks for the tip!Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
