W&B Work in Progress
This is an antique store find for $3.75. I think it started life as an 8/8+ blade. I wish I could have saved the blade stamp but between the pitting and straightening out the spine wear it didn't make it. After removing the big chip it still mic's .950 at it's widest point. It tapers some towards the toe because of the horrible hone wear. I recut the barbers notch and moved the edge back just a bit. Thankfully there is a lot of steel in this baby to work with. I have a nice piece of black horn set aside and this time I don't have to guess what the scales looked like.

looks good
what was your process so far?
I am assuming you used greaseless on a buff to get it to this stage or did you regrind the blade?Saved,
to shave another day.

We cant save everything, but we can breath new life into a otherwise dead razor.
Looking good.

Looking good! excited to see how it progresses. What are you doing with the scales?
State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").
