8/8 SuperClean with Steller's sea cow rib
After a long time I found the time to finish some straight razors again. This one is the first from my new shop. The blade is from C145 Super Clean - a high carbon steel with a very fine grain. 1/4 hollow ground, long tail with a handle from Steller's sea cow rib ( Steller's sea cow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). The spacer ist from mammoth ivory.

I've told myself that I'm thru buying custom razors time and time again.
Then something like this pops up and it is very evident that I am in fact not.
Not at all.
Your scale design, choice of materials and craftmanship is both unique and of the highest quality out there.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Beautiful work, Mr. Buddel. I have some Mammoth ivory that is just about long enough for scales. I am waiting until I have a little bit more experience making razors before I cut into it. Thanks for the inspiration!
If I can afford it, I buy the best that I can. If I can't afford, I make it. If I can't make it... I do without!
