Sweet razor! Nice luster on blade and scales. It looks like a brand new razor.

Very nice razor looks like new! J.M. Schmid & Son, Providence R.I. was a dealer in pocket knifes and razors, 1871-1964. So its highly possible that this razor was made for them, i came across a lot of their cutlery offerings with a Made in Germany stamp.

Perhaps it is from around WWII and was made for Hope by an American maker?
Either way, seems to have the brown scales. Hard rubber? Looks just dandy, Mike! Love me some Americans!

Thanks Martin and Tom! From what I've found out they did manufacture their own razors starting right around 1945 and I would probably put this razor around that time frame. It has no German mark of any kind...but we all know what that means

Hell of a shaver though...and since I got it here in America I'M CALLING IT AMERICAN!

Well, if it don't say and is from the WWII era? Whether they made it or someone else made it for them, Apple Pie as can be!

(It just reeks of George Korn! If WWII, later than that! I think older than WWII.)

You could very well be right Tom...Geo. Korn made a lot of razors for a lot of folks!
