I hope not. One of the things I like about the razor world is that we don't have the concept of safe queens. I can make a 1000$ razor, and I am sure that it will be used for what it is meant. Nothing is sadder than a high quality knife in a shadow box. It has one purpose in life, and it is not allowed to fulfill it. Might as well not have been made.
That said, it is business so if someone pays me a grand, it is up to them to decide to use the razor or not.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 49So all you can do is make a razor that functions as intended and the rest is up to the owner. I agree with you completely about razors, knives and other cutting instruments. I just shake my head at some of the "art knives" that are so non-functional that the maker does not even bother to heat treat the blade, even ones that I find to be interesting and attractive pieces of "metal sculpture" at some level.
