    Tom --

I have been going through this post absorbing the details for two days, not knowing quite what to say. Having first come to know you through an April Fool's post, it is kind of ironic that by falling for your post then, I got to know you and your work. You are a fine craftsman who excels while maintaining your patience, humility and sense of humor...three characteristics that make you a very special man.

Your work on this project and on your other pieces that I have been honored to see, hold and shave with is just plain amazing. Congratulations on a job well done! I, who have honed only one razor (marginally), have nothing to add to your many peers who have already commented. Thanks for doing this project and inspiring us all to keep at it!

Gee, Harold! I am so honored by your words. Having fun with this hobby and the friends on this forum mean a great deal. This, coming from a man of your caliber, will stick with me always. It is nice to share and try and help others in a world in which it is not always so rewarding to do so. I am often questioned as to spending so much time and effort here. Online friends are just as good a friends as physical, local ones are. Sometimes better, FME.
That, and I shall need 2 pillows to sleep on tonite!
    Thanks, Brother!

I just want to say, because of this thread I now am trying to extend my collection with a bunch of American made razors. They really are the hidden gems of the razor world. I missed a few real nice ones recently on ebay and am kicking my own ass to punish myself. I need a Genco, a Shumate, A Torrey, A Cattaragus, A Robeson..... Actually, Tom, Just give me the list of all the companies in this set. Ya, tha'll probably be best.

Wow Tom. Your work is just fantastic. Those labours of love just shine as sets.
Really neat idea to make 7 day sets by country like that as opposed to as complete identical blade mfgr sets.
Got my own wheels turning now..
    Great job, again

Indeed, the Americans are underrated, Andrew! Still some nice ones to be had.

Thanks, Mike. Having sets with some variety suits me better than 7 identical.
