    Default Perfecta

This pretty blade came in with scratches. I got them removed and saved the wash. For the scales I chose a warm transparent horn that I think compliments the gold.
With the bevels on the spine I decided a beveled accent on the scales would work well with the blade. I also set the blade deeper in the scales thinking they would work well side by side. And I made sure the sweep of the scales paralleled the sweep of the spine.
Stacked brass washers and a white wedge complete the piece.

Sweet work, mycarver. The transparent scales were a nice touch.

    Wow!

Pins and wedge, translucent scales, mirror polish and a worked spine, it is the perfect razor!

Outstanding! All works together to a fantastic whole. Dissimilar pins go well on those large of scales. The white wedge reminds me of a three layered candy I loved as a kid! I would like to see more beveled scales. They were quite common in the early 1800's. They also reduce the visual bulk of strong scales that are used on heavy blades.
    Thank you!
