Appreciate the feedback gents. So far so good on the stones. Put two layers of tape on the spine to really set the bevel, and keep it thin as well. Starting to cut arm hair and looks nice and even.
Think I'll call it a night though and finish it up tomorrow after work.
It's a near wedge and flips with a nice weight on the 1k rock.
Now I need to find me a stylish Elliot to restore, see what I'm missing..:-)
    Cheers.

Will post one final update after I shave with it.
Just treating it to 100 laps on the Zulu after I ran the stones tonight after work.
This steel seems to be taking to its edge like a kitten to milk. Pretty psyched.
    Cheers.

Love the looks of what you did. Do any grinding to it or just clean it up? I imagine it'll shave even better than it looks.

I used a belt sander with small radius work wheel to clean up and restore the sides but kept above 400 grit for all the work as I learned from a restorer friend of mine. The rest was on a buffer with greaseless compounds.
First shave was a treat. I felt inspired to film my very first shave vid figuring if I cut myself, this post would not come into being, hehe.

All told, I like the feel and smile of this razor a lot. Happy I was able to bring it back into being for another hundred and a half years maybe.
    Cheers gents.

Some of those Joesph Allen straights, not bad looking either!
